Medical Representative – Job Description

Role Summary: A Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling a specific product or group of products. This role requires technical expertise in designated company products, therapeutic classes, and an understanding of patient needs, engaging primarily with medical specialists. Medical Representatives are expected to establish and nurture long-term relationships with key customers. Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales is generally preferred.

Responsibilities:
The position operates with ahybrid model, covering bothBangkok (BKK)andUpcountry (UPC)areas, focusing predominantly on medical schools and private hospitals.

  • Bangkok Primary Institutions:
    Chulalongkorn Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, Bumrungrad Hospital, and Bangkok Hospital.

  • Upcountry Focus:
    Chiang Mai University (CMU), Khon Kaen University (KKU), and Prince of Songkla University (PSU).

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Successfully complete all mandatory training and product certification requirements.
  • Engage specialty healthcare professionals in scientific discussions on approved product indications, emphasizing efficacy and safety, to support appropriate, on-label prescribing.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to formulate and implement strategy and business plans aimed at surpassing sales targets and call execution objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Drive sales performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts and defined budgetary expectations for assigned therapies and regions.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market dynamics, demographic trends, and managed care information relevant to the sales territory.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations concerning interactions with healthcare professionals and the distribution of samples.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • For standard roles: 0–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales preferred.
  • For Senior Medical Representatives: 3–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience required
